Historic First Flights of the Phoenix 1 Design Proof of Concept Prototype Flight Chair This weekend, Master test pilots Brad Gunnuscio and Nick Greece demonstrated the first prototype of the Phoenix 1 flight chair at the Point of the Mountain flight park in Draper Utah. On hand to witness and report was Dr. Don Bloswick, Mark Gaskill, Tim Meehan, KSL TV and the Deseret News.

The ABLE Pilot Phoenix 1 flight chair development team took a major step forward by completing the final design specs and materials list for the chair (shown rendered here from computer model).
Also in the news, ABLE Pilot founding director Mark Gaskill, a USHPA certified Advanced Tandem Instructor, introduced members of the design team to the joys of free flight with a series of tandem paragliding flights at Point of the Mountain Flight Park in Draper, Utah last week. The flights are considered crucial to the design and development efforts by introducing the team to the challenges and rewards of paragliding free flight.

To assist people with disabilities (spinal cord injuries, amputations, and neuromuscular disease) to safely experience the freedom, joys and sense of accomplishment of free flight.
