Brent’s Thoughts on the Experience

Tuesday we were up and on the road bright and early to hit our morning of paragliding ground school. We see some minimal tweaking that will help improve the Phoenix wheelchair paragliding buggy. As a group of paralyzed veterans we seem to be on the same page in helping improve the design. Now we hope that the change requests are actually implemented to make the Phoenix a top notch safe machine for all that get the privilege to use it.

The hand towing of the buggy under canopy really was a great thing to get the feel of handling that will need to utilize on landing and take off. We’ve done this for many days in the AM to make it second nature in our muscle memory.

It was a fantastic day to see who our instructors are and what they’re each about all week long. Their passion and drive of this sport they love is apparent in the fantastic instruction.

Opening this door to us and thinking outside the box is not a normal thing we see from the majority of sporting groups. How amazing. It’s blowing our minds that they’re wanting to tell us everything about their sport and share  all the tricks and secrets to make it fast and easy to learn!
